Reigate Priory 2 Goan 1
Reigate showed true resolve as they took on Goan at home, another team with regional league aspirations, on Saturday.
Having dominated the game last week and only earning a point, Reigate were keen not to let their hard work go to waste.
Buoyed by the return of Golley and Lawrence, Priory were confident in taking the attack to the visitors without suffering the burn out they witnessed towards the end of their clash with NPL.
Reigate attacked hard from the start as is their now familiar way and soon gained their first short which ominously flashed just wide of the near.
Goan are no longer the mid-table also rans this season and showed just why as they took control of the game and cleverly changed the pace and probing the Priory defence for weaknesses.
Priory’s scorers were Greg Lawson and Selwyn Pye.
Reigate are now unbeaten in their first five games, and two points off the top with a game in hand.
