A Bletchingley dance school pupil is currently kicking up her heels in her debut in the West End.
Vogue Phelps, 12, who trains at The Hawthorns School of Dance, is performing professionally in the musical Billy Elliot at the Victoria Palace Theatre.
Vogue, who is studying Classical Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Latin American and Tap Dance, has competed in numerous dance festivals in all styles of dance, in both solo and duet sections.
She is currently training for the All England Dance Competition too.
Her dance teacher, Tanya Greenwood, who is head of dance at The Hawthorns School, has trained Vogue from the age of three.
She said: “I saw Vogue’s potential from an early age. I always knew she was born to perform and was going to be a star.”
Vogue has performed in many theatre productions in the local area, including Surrey Youth Ballet and pantomime.
She is a full-time student at the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School in London, which trains gifted children within the performing arts genre.
