A rock festival has been given the go-ahead by Reigate and Banstead Borough Council. The licensing sub-committee took a week to reach the decision about the event, to be held at Robins Cook Farm in Kings Mill Lane, Redhill, on July 20 and 21.
Despite concerns from the police and residents, Dizzy Promotions, headed by Matt Nichols, has convinced the council it could manage security and noise and addressed concerns put forward by local residents.
The premises licence will cover several fields on the farm from 10am on Friday, July 20, until noon on Sunday, July 22. There will be 7,000 tickets on sale for the event with space for 4,000 revellers camping overnight.
Conditions have been attached to the licence giving authorities greater control over various aspects of the licence including the sale of alcohol, the performance and playing of music, dancing facilities and the supply of food between 11pm and 2am.
