Rampant Mersea Island powered their way into the fourth round with a comprehensive nine-try victory over Essex League division one leaders South Woodham Ferrers.
It needed a powerful second-half performance from the Islanders, who scored 44 unanswered points to ensure a 58-5 victory, in the EDF Junior Vase third round.
Mersea showed great team spirit and character to bounce back from their disappointing league defeat away to Wymondham last Saturday.
