Police in Cornwall are looking for the public's help in identifying a man suspected of a serious assault in Truro 12 months ago.
It was at the beginning of March last year that a 27-year-old man from the city was at the town's Eclipse night club.
He was on the dance floor when he was head butted causing him to fall to the ground and there he was subjected to a second assault necessitating numerous stiches to his face.
DC Adam Barfield from Mid-Cornwall CID said today: "This was a nasty attack on a man simply enjoying a night out. Our enquiries have continued since last March and a number of people have been spoken to in connection with this incident.
"One local man was arrested and convicted for the initial assault but we are still trying to trace the man responsible for the second attack.
"CCTV images have been obtained and we'd like to speak to the man in them as we believe he may have information pertinent to this enquiry.
"We think he may well live in the mid-Cornwall area. Anyone recognising him is asked to contact me on 08452 777 444 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 quoting police reference GT/06/586"
