A healthy diet, improved fitness and getting a new job are just some of the New Year's resolutions we all make - but keeping them once we get past the end of January is another challenge altogether.

But with the help of a jobs and careers event supported by the Croydon Guardian one of these may be easier than you think.

As the leading regional publication, the Croydon Guardian is confirming its commitment to the community by helping local people to widen their opportunities and improve their skills.

Jobs & Careers Croydon is being held on Thursday, March 29, at Fairfield Halls. It is aimed at anyone looking to be inspired by what the world of work has to offer in terms of job training and career opportunities, whether looking for a new challenge, unemployed, leaving college, returning after a break or just wanting to gain new skills.

The event is free and more than 30 companies are attending, including JD Wetherspoon, Croydon College and the Metropolitan Police.

Experts will be on hand to help you create a CV, offer interview tips and advise on job hunting techniques to help you on the road to a great new career.

Log on to jobsandcareersevents.co.uk for more information on the event and to register for a free ticket.

Any organisations who would like to be involved ensuring their company is there should call Emma Furlong on 01278 726178 or e-mail emma.furlong@jobsandcareersevents.co.uk
