BUDDING Dudley poets will be gunning for a host of prizes at an event on Thursday October 5 to mark National Poetry Day.
The free event, held at Dudley Library between 6pm and 8pm, will see poets read out the work they submitted for a competition with the theme identity.
Winners will be announced in the eight to 11, 12 to 15 and 16 to 18-year-old categories. Prizes will also be handed out for the adult contests.
Deputy mayor cllr David Stanley said: "I hope many people will come along to this free event to see for themselves the work that people across Dudley have put together."
