Kart racer Alfie Prince delivered a superb performance to achieve third place at the 2014 London Cup.
The ten year old from Reigate took to the London track for the first time had to overcome treacherous conditions as a result of a heavy but short lived shower to qualify 7th of 28 competitors.
As conditions improved, so did Alfie’s pace such that he was able to work his way through the field and achieve a 3rd place podium in the Clubman class.
The race, held at Rye House Raceway Hertfordshire - the place where Lewis Hamilton began his career, is a prestigious event attracting competitors from across London and the Home Counties and will be featured on Sky Sports.
Alfie has been competing in kart races since the age of eight, competing with boys as old as 13 in the Honda Cadet class. Racing at venues such as Buckmore Park and Bayford Meadows in Kent, Alfie is a regular visitor to the podium.
He is supported by his mum and dad and “dressed” by Fortanini Menswear of Reigate.
