Children at Horley Row Community Pre-school stepped back more than 100 years when they took part in a Victorian day.
The youngsters dressed up in 19th century styles for a typical Victorian school day which included PE drills, mark-making with chalks, and parlour games.
The day was one of a number of events held to enhance the children's understanding of old and new, through exploration of dinosaurs and old and new toys, as well as finding out about the Victorians.
Pre-school supervisor Tina Riddle said: “We also explored music and rhyme through dance, circle games, re-enacting action rhymes and props.
“At the end of term we finished the celebrations with demonstrating our confidence and memory skills to take part in a nursery rhymes concert, dressing up as our favourite rhymes, and singing our hearts out to the proud applause of parents and staff.”
