More bike owners are to get the chance of having their cycles security marked for free in another security stamping session in Merstham.
Officers from the Merstham Safer Neighbourhood Team will be holding another session outside the RT Gallery in High Street, Merstham, next Wednesday (July 25) from 6pm to 7.30pm.
The session, being held by Surrey Police in partnership with Reigate and Banstead Borough Council, follows the success of the last one held last month, which saw dozens of bike owners attend.
Merstham Police Community Support Officer Ryan Willmott, said at the time: “Security marking property is always a deterrent to would-be thieves, but if the item is unfortunately stolen, the chances of it being returned to you are a lot higher if it is marked.”
He said: “I would strongly urge any Merstham residents who own a bike which has not yet been security marked, to come along and join us.”
