A Merstham dancer injected a little magic into a national dance competition after being paired with her illusionist boyfriend.
Charlotte Voller, 18, part of dance team Black Magic, helped win the cabaret section in a dance competition at the Hammersmith Palais after being paired with boyfriend Keelan Leyser, a magic consultant on BBC One children's favourite Dick and Dom in da Bungalow.
She said: "I am used to being levitated, mutilated and squashed as part of Keelan's magic act, so being part of a dance routine felt much more elegant."
She added: "We were stunned when we were declared winners, but also very, very pleased indeed."
The team added spice to their Ceroc performance, a modern jive dance, with some magical illusions, fire, masks and high-energy dance and acrobatics at the event on May 22.
Keelan said: "Magic, illusion and dance are major passions of mine and complement each other beautifully.
"It has long been my ambition to bring those arts together, but never in my wildest dreams did I think we would be doing it on a stage like this."
