HORLEY-BASED Big Band JetStream Jazz return in their annual local concert at the Regent Hall, Horley, on Saturday, June 14, at 8pm.

Hailed as one of the premiere big bands in the South East, JetStream Jazz, formed in 2001 by a trombone and saxophone-playing husband and wife team, will be performing at the venue in Albert Road.

The band's musicians come from across the region to rehearsals in the town.

They play a challenging and varied repertoire of Big Band music including pieces written for the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band and the bands of Buddy Rich, Stan Kenton, Count Basie and Bob Curnow's LA Big Band.

The repertoire covers swing, Latin and modern Big Band jazz with lively arrangements from West End shows.

JetStream Jazz have played all over the South East, including the Chequer Mead Theatre in East Grinstead and Dorking's Watermill Jazz Club, but always look forward to playing on home turf.
