A FRESH appeal for information has been launched four years after the death of a teenager in a motorcycle crash.
Kimberley Siddons, 16, was riding her moped in Masons Bridge Road, Salfords, on Friday, October 17, 2003, at around 1.30pm.
As she pulled out at the crossroads with Picketts Lane and Honeycrock Lane she was hit by a black Yamaha motorbike. She suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
The rider of the Yamaha, a 23-year-old man from Crawley, was treated for minor injuries and later charged with driving without insurance.
Police still want to speak to the rider of a second white motorbike that may have been present at the time of the collision.
A red Chrysler PT Cruiser was also reported to be at the scene and a man in a white puffer jacket was seen getting out of the vehicle. Neither individual has been traced.
Detective Inspector Pete Foster, of Surrey Police collision investigation unit, said: "The death of this young girl was a tragedy and her family still have unanswered questions.
"This year marks the fifth anniversary of Kimberley's death but it is not too late for you to help us build up a complete picture of what happened on that day."
