Pupils of Reigate’s Dunottar School witnessed strange events whilst watching the eclipse, but not the ones you would be expecting.
Excited sixth form students took a break from lessons to peer through the windows in the hope that the heavy clouds would lift for the eclipse on Friday.
At 9.31am temperatures plummeted, wind speeds picked up, and the building’s security lights came on.
However there was no sighting of the eclipse.
A representative from the school commented: “Better luck next time.”
