Police are investigating the theft of three horse drawn carriages over the course of two evenings.
Officers from the Reigate and Banstead Safer Neighbourhood Team are investigating the thefts overnight between Wednesday, 10 December and Thursday, 11 December in a field off Hurst Road.
The first carriage is described as a brown, four wheeled cart with the words ‘Bakers Cart’ written in cream. This is a unique vehicle and the only one of its kind in the country.
The second carriage is a dark brown, two wheeled American Meadowbrook cart with a label on the front reading ‘Eleanor America’.
A third carriage is a green, four wheeled Polish Pleasure Cart with red lining and red wheels.
A number of enquiries are being made in relation to the thefts and the victim will be updated by the investigating officer.
Anyone who has information on who is responsible for the theft or who knows the whereabouts of the stolen carts is urged to contact Surrey Police on 101 quoting reference 45140104377. Information can be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
