Two female officers, who are based at Reigate police station, were assaulted by an 18-year-old man at the weekend.
The incident happened at around 6.40pm on Sunday 16th November and both officers required hospital treatment for facial injuries after the attack.
One officer sustained a cut above the eye and severe bruising to the face and the other suffered a badly sprained wrist.
Both officers are said to make full recovery and return back to work in a week.
East Surrey Chief Inspector Santi Gil, said: ‘’On behalf of all at Surrey Police I wish both officers a speedy recovery.”
The assault happened following an incident in Epsom on Pine Hill.
