Horley Local History Society is due to host a highly topical talk about flooding in the Horley area next month.
Peter Cox is due to give the illustrated talk on local flooding over the years at the group's meeting in The Strawson Hall, 156 Albert Road, Horley, on Thursday, March 27, at 8pm.
Before that, the society will hold its annual general meeting in The Strawson Hall on Thursday, February 27, at 8pm. If time permits, afterwards there may be a short talk by the society's chairman, Alan Reid, on Chertsey Abbey and its connections with Horley. Horley Local History Society meets on the fourth Thursday of most months in the Strawson Hall. Website: www.horleyhistory.org.uk
