British Comedy Award Winner, star of Channel 4's seminal comedy Phoenix Nights and ex-haematologist, Dave Spikey brings his own unique brand of stand-up to the Epsom Playhouse on Thursday, February 13 on his Overnight Success Tour 2003.
When asked for a quote on this event Mr Spikey was heard to mutter: "Show business is a jungle. It's a dark, deep and dangerous place of dense undergrowth and many trees.
"In the middle of this jungle is the tallest tree it's the tree of fame and fortune. I have finally, after many years, found this tree but before I start this perilous climb I must rest here tonight. So come and join me around the campfire and laugh and marvel at my extraordinary tales of duck cabaret, dobber clobber, the plumber's position, scary chickens and pushing a terrier upstairs.
"And when I've finished if you could give me a leg-up that would be great!"
Dave has many TV appearances to his name as stand-up comedian, game show presenter and actor. He plays the compere without compare Jerry St Clair' in the hit TV series Phoenix Nights. His writing credits are impressive and he was awarded The British Comedy Award for Best New TV Comedy for That Peter Kay Thing which he co-wrote with Peter Kay.
