A 14-year-old girl has been seriously sexually assaulted by a man who forced his way into her Bradford home.

The teenager, who lives in the Woodend Court area of West Bowling, had earlier answered the door to the man who asked for someone who did not live at the address.

He returned a few minutes later, forced his way inside, physically assaulted her and subjected her what police described as a serious sexual assault. He then ran off in the direction of Parkway.

The girl, who was at home alone, received minor injuries but was left badly traumatised by the incident.

The attacker is described as being of mixed white/Asian race, in his 20s, up to 6ft tall, slim, with thin lips, brown eyes and slight stubble.

He spoke with a Bradford accent and wore a dark-coloured hooded top with a white Nike emblem on it, dark tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.

Anyone who was in the West Bowling area between 5pm and 5.30pm on Monday and saw a man fitting the description to contact Bradford South CID helpdesk on (01274) 376459 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
