Wibsey's hopes of lifting the Mumtaz Premier Division title for the first time suffered a jolt in midweek when they lost at home to Ardsley Celtic in the West Riding County Amateur League.

It was the first time a visiting side has won at Westwood Park this season, with Ardsley completing a league double in the process thanks to a similar 3-1 result.

Leaders Wibsey have now played a game more than Huddersfield title rivals Bay Athletic, who are two points adrift going into the final few fixtures.

Wibsey host relegated Eastmoor tomorrow evening, before visiting Golcar United on Monday and finishing at Halifax Irish next Saturday.

Bay Athletic are at home to Hemsworth Miners Welfare on Saturday and visit Tyersal on Wednesday, before playing the reverse fixture at Hemsworth and concluding at Golcar United.

Tyersal are another team in action tomorrow, visiting Storthes Hall, but Campion do not play until Monday at home to third-placed Brighouse Town.

Campion logged two midweek victories to move fourth in the table as they played catch-up, beating Golcar 2-0 on Monday and Eastmoor 3-1 on Wednesday.

Dudley Hill Rangers play their final Division One game of the season on Saturday at home to relegation rivals Ventus/Yeadon, knowing they must win to retain their status for next season.

Keighley Shamrocks could edge out either Overthorpe or Farnley for the second promotion spot if they win their remaining four games, starting with a trip to relegated Heckmondwike Town on Saturday.
