ST MARY'S Church in Alsager is looking at schemes for the urgent rewiring and relighting of the church.
A firm from Gloucester has submitted a scheme, and others are awaited for comparison.
The church says the work is an urgent priority, and essential to its viability.
Preliminary work on the rear parking area has been completed.
Work at the front will be completed when the exact levels for the new access across the neighbouring land are known.
