DORCHESTER Football Club's Events In A Tent presentation at the Avenue Stadium over five nights next month has something to appeal to just about every sports fan.

The programme opens in the marquee on the stadium forecourt on Thursday, April 5 with an amateur boxing tournament being promoted by the county town boxing club and follows last year's highly successful first event.

The Olds Group are sponsoring the tournament which incorporates a meal for those who want one.

Tickets are £27.50 for diners or £20 for anyone who just wants to support the boxing.

Doors open at 6.30pm for those enjoying the meal and the boxing begins at 8pm.

Boxing gives way to skittles on Friday, April 6 when Stag Office Products are sponsoring a pairs competition with cash prizes. Entry is £5 per pair.

Darts fans are in for a treat on Saturday, April 7 when World Ranked Professional Darts Corporation star Peter "One Dart" Manley will be giving an exhibition being sponsored by Southern Sealed Units.

Manley, infamous for his refusal to shake hands with Phil The Power Taylor after losing 7-0 to him in the 2002 World Championship Final, has appeared in three World Championship Finals.

Tuesday, April 10 is bingo night in the marquee. Doors open at 6.30pm and eyes down is at 7.30pm.

Football takes centre stage on Thursday, April 12 when former Southampton manager Lawrie McMenemy will be the guest speaker at a Sports Dinner.

Tickets for the evening, which includes a four-course meal, cost £35. McMenemy will be supported by a comedian at the dinner which is being sponsored by CNl24 Solutions.
