Chinnor recorded their first away win of the season in National 3 South with a pulsating 13-12 success at Rosslyn Park.

A try by full back Ben Hewitt, four minutes into stoppage time, clinched the points.

But the referee ruled out fly half Richard Williams's attempts to convert as the ball was repeatedly blown off the tee.

There was still time for Park to narrowly miss a drop goal attempt before the final whsitle.

The visitors played a lot better than the narrowness of the victory might suggest - dominating both territory and possession for much of the match.

Chinnor played the first 15 minutes in Park territoty, but spurned two easy penalty chances.

They bagged a try, however, on 14 minutes when a backs move ended with winger Anthony Pyers scooting over.

Rosslyn Park eventually got some possession and blindside flanker Quinten Coetzer burst through to score on 29 minutes for Richard Mahony to convert.

Some great defence kept Park out, while the visitors went ahead with fly half Richard Williams's penalty after 37 minutes.

Straight running by Park's inside centre Anthony Paul led to a try in stoppage time.

After the break, Chinnor winger Eric Brown looked to have run in their second try, but was harshly called back for a forward pass.

The visitors had to defend five five-metre scrums before taking the spoils late on.

Tight-head prop Paddy Conlon was named man-of-the-match for his outstanding scrummaging performance.
