SUN-LOVERS have seen the last of the warm weather for a little while, the Met Office has predicted.
News Shopper's region could be battered by snow, sleet, and hail showers from the beginning of next week.
The Met Office has predicted very cold weather to replace recent warm and settled conditions.
Temperatures could plummet by as much as 10 degrees, leaving many areas seeing overnight frosts.
Snow is also predicted for eastern areas of the UK early next week.
Met Office chief forecaster Doug Mansfield said: "The cold snap could catch people unawares after the warm start to Spring.
"The northerly winds will bring wintry showers and a bitterly cold feel to the weather for a time early next week, before temperatures recover again later in the week."
