BRACKNELL FOREST BOROUGH COUNCIL (B3430 NINE MILE RIDE & OLD WOKINGHAM ROAD, CROWTHORNE & BRACKNELL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2018
Notice is hereby given that Bracknell Forest Borough Council has made an Order, in accordance with Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is to to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction along the following roads:
i) Circulatory carriageway of the roundabout junction of Old Wokingham Road and B3430 Nine Mile Ride;
ii) Old Wokingham Road from 100 metres south of the junction of Old Wokingham Road & B3430 Nine Mile Ride to 100 metres north of said junction;
iii) B3430 Nine Mile Ride from 100 metres west of the junction of Old Wokingham Road & B3430 Nine Mile Ride to 100 metres east of said junction.
The alternative route for vehicles affected by this Order will be via New Wokingham Road, B3348 Dukes Ride, B3348 Bracknell Road, A3095 Foresters Way, A3095 Crowthorne Road, A3095 Mill Lane, A329 Berkshire Way, vlgar Way, Peacock Lane and Old Wokingham Road or by this route reversed.
The purpose of this Order is to ensure public safety whilst resurfacing works are carried out on carriageway.
The Order was made on 9th March 2018 will come into operation on the 19th March 2018. Although the Order will have a maximum duration of 6 months, it is anticipated that the works will take 5 days to complete and the roads will only be closed overnight, between 8.30pm (20:30) and 5:00am (05:00).
This Order shall only apply when the appropriate signs are displayed in the road.
