Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited(a) has made an Order on the M25 Motorway in the Counties of Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order is to authorise the weekday overnight closure of:-
a) the clockwise carriageway of the M25 between the link road leading to the westbound carriageway of the M40 and the link road connecting from the M40 at Junction 16 (M40 Junction 1A);
b) the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M25 between the link road connecting to the M40 and the tip of the nosing of the link road connecting from the M40 at Junction 16 (M40 Junction 1A);
c) all of the roads connecting to and from both carriageways of the M25 to and from both carriageways of the M40, with the exception of the link roads connecting both carriageways of the M40 to the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M25, at Junction 16 (Denham Interchange) (M40 Junction 1A);
d) the roads leading to and from the clockwise carriageway of the M25 at Junction 17 (A405); and
e) the roads leading to and from both carriageways of the M25 at Junction 18 (A404).
These measures are in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake Advanced Motorway Indicator (AMI) sign repairs. It is expected that the work will last for approximately 3 weeks starting on or after Monday 10th July 2017. The overnight closures will take place between the following times (maximum period); Monday-Thursday 22:00-05:30
The Order will come into force on 8 July 2017 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months. Traffic affected by the closures will be directed to leave the carriageway and re-join, or diverted via other junctions of the M25, M40, and using the A41. The diversion in operation will vary according to the closures in force. The temporary closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
