BRACKNELL FOREST BOROUGH COUNCIL (A3095 CROWTHORNE ROAD, BRACKNELL) (TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED LIMIT & PROHIBITION OF NORTHBOUND TRAVEL) ORDER 2020
Notice is hereby given that Bracknell Forest Borough Council intends to make an Order, in accordance with Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to:
i) Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction along A3095 Crowthorne Road, Bracknell between its roundabout junctions with A3095 Foresters Way and A3095 Mill Lane;
ii) Prohibit any vehicle from travelling northbound from B3348 Bracknell Road along the slip road to the A3095 Foresters Way
iii) Prohibit the use of the northern most subway beneath the A3095 Crowthorne Road and associated footway cycleway between Hanworth Road and Great Hollands Road
iv) prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along the A3095 between its roundabout junction with Wildridings Road to its roundabout junction with B3348 Bracknell Road at a speed greater than 30mph;
v) prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along the B3348 Nine Mile Ride between a point 250m west of its roundabout junction with the A3095 to a point 250m east of its roundabout junction with the A3095 at a speed greater than 30mph
vi) Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding northbound from B3348 Bracknell Road along the slip road to the A3095 Foresters Way at a speed greater than 30mph
vii) Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction along Great Hollands Road between its roundabout junction with A3095 and its junction with Ringmead, Great Hollands
The alternative route for all vehicles affected by prohibition (i) in a northbound direction will be via B3430 Nine Mile Ride, A322 Bagshot Road, A322 Downshire Way and A3095 Mill Lane for local traffic and A30 London Road, A322 Bagshot Road, A322 Downshire Way for motorway traffic. The alternative route for all vehicles affected by prohibition (i) in a southbound direction the alternative route will be via South Hill Road, A322 Bagshot Road and B3430 Nine Mile Ride.
The alternative route for all vehicles affected by prohibition (ii) will be via B3348 Bracknell Road to the roundabout junction with A3095 Foresters Way, and northbound on the A3095 Foresters Way The alternative route for all pedestrians and cyclists affected by prohibition (iii) will be via Hanworth Road, the footway link beneath the A3095 Crowthorne Road between Bywood and Prescott into Ringwood, and via the footway south of Hollands Pines to Great Hollands Road or by this route reversed
The alternative route for all vehicles affected by prohibition (vii) will be via A3095 Mill Lane; Ringmead, Great Hollands and this route in reverse The purpose of this Order is to protect the workforce and public whilst highway improvement works are carried out.
The proposed Order will come into operation on the 15*n June 2020. Its maximum duration will be 18 months, however the prohibitions contained within the Order shall only apply when the appropriate signs and markings are displayed in the road.
Article 1, the closure of the A3095 Crowthorne Road in both directions is expected to be in place for 1 night only (15 June) to facilitate the setting up of the construction area, followed by the southbound lane reopening to traffic and the northbound closure remaining in place for approximately 12 weeks
Article 2, the closure of the B3348 Bracknell Road is expected to be in place for 1 night only (22 June) to facilitate the setting up of the construction area. Article 3, the closure of the northern most subway beneath the A3095 Crowthorne Road is expected to be in place for approximately 12 weeks Article 4, The closure of Great Hollands Road is expected to be in place from 31st October 2020 until 1st November 2020 Dated 21st October 2020 Andrew Hunter
