I wholeheartedly endorse Surrey County Council cracking down on antisocial parking through new laws.

There are waiting restrictions outside our house banning parking between 08.30 and 17.00 Monday to Friday.

These restrictions are only observed by residents or their visitors.

Many residents had their front gardens paved over so they could park their cars off-road only to find their drives blocked by vehicles ignoring the waiting restrictions.

I have even had a car driven at me when I asked the driver not to park across my drive.

Parking wardens are seldom, if ever, seen.

Can we please see these new laws fully enforced in the vicinity of schools for the safety of children, if nothing else?
