Riyad Mahrez has completed his move from Leicester to Manchester City.

Here, Press Association Sport looks at five of the Algeria winger’s golden moments for the Foxes.

Mahrez will be remembered mostly for a starring role in Leicester’s 2015-16 title win, but his two goals against the Saints gave the Foxes a platform to make history. They had battled relegation all season and sat a point above the drop zone before the game, and Mahrez’s double put them on course for safety. The Foxes sealed survival in the next game with Mahrez’s star on the rise.

Goal v Chelsea, December 2015

The winger had already scored 11 goals, including a hat-trick against Swansea, before his brilliant strike against Chelsea. He brought down Marc Albrighton’s deep cross and turned Cesar Azpilicueta inside out before curling the ball into the top corner past Thibaut Courtois. The result ended Jose Mourinho’s second spell as manager, with Leicester on their way to succeeding Chelsea as champions.

It was billed as a title showdown in early February and many expected the Foxes’ challenge to falter at the Etihad. But Robert Huth gave Leicester an early lead before Mahrez collected the ball, fooled Martin Demichelis with a step-over and drilled beyond Joe Hart. Huth scored again as the result put Claudio Ranieri’s side five points clear at the top of the Premier League.

Double v Club Brugge, September 2016

The Foxes were in dreamland as they began their debut Champions League campaign with Mahrez starring in Belgium. Albrighton had already put them 1-0 up before Mahrez curled in a brilliant free-kick from 25 yards. He added his second from the spot in the second half to announce himself on the Champions League stage.

Goal v Arsenal, May 2018

Mahrez struggled to replicate his 2015-16 form consistently for Leicester but was still a shining light for them. His goal in the 3-1 win over Arsenal at the end of last season leaves Foxes fans with fond memories of him at the King Power Stadium. He collected the ball on the right flank and raced towards goal, cutting inside to leave the defence floundering and goalkeeper Petr Cech on his backside before rolling the ball in.
