Reigate mother and daughter Fiona and Bethany Brookes served up fine performances in the 2009 National Deaf Tennis Championships, both reaching finals.

Playing at the National Tennis Centre, Roehampton, earlier this month, Fiona won the women's doubles while her 15-year-old daughter reached both the women's singles and doubles finals.

Bethany now looks set to progress to training with the National Deaf Tennis Squad and as well as aiming for the 2010 National Championships, she may follow in her mum's footsteps and play for Britain in the 2013 Deaflympic Summer Games in Athens.
