Explosions and lightning rocked The Warwick School, Redhill, but it was all in the name of science.
The chemical bangs heralded the beginning of the annual Science Spectacular workshop, which aims to encourage eight to ten-year-olds to develop their interest.
Over 100 primary school students and their parents were there and after demonstrations in the main hall, staff led the students and their parents through a fascinating series of experiments in which they produced a variety of gases and finished with producing some horrible “gloop”.
Pictured here are Mike Everitt and son Max looking tempted to drink their chemical concoction.
