Brain-box pupils at Reigate St Mary's School have won the Champions Trophy at the First Lego League Project competition at Kent University.
The school's Climate Changers team took the prize in the annual themed robotics challenge hosted by the university's science and technology department, after designing and building a robot which had to perform various tasks.
The pupils also researched and presented their findings on climate change in the Reigate area.
The Reigate team have now qualified for a place at the UK and Ireland National Finals which will be held at Loughborough University in January.
The First Lego League Project aims to enthuse young people aged between nine and 16 about engineering, provide more understanding about maths and science, and give them enjoyable practical experiences of engineering.
