4:11pm Monday 3rd September 2012 in Local News
A woman suffered neck injuries when her car was in collision with a van and ended up in a ditch in a hit and run in Horley.
The collision happened as the woman was driving a black Vauxhall Corsa along Collendean Lane.
As she drove towards its junction with Horse Hill, police said the car was then hit by a white van.
The vehicle, believed to be a Ford Transit van and travelling in the opposite direction, forced the Corsa to leave the road and drive into a ditch.
Police said the van driver failed to stop and drove off.
He was described as a white man, with short dark hair and aged between 30 and 40-years-old.
The Corsa driver, aged in her 40s, suffered neck injuries in the collision and was treated at the scene by South East Coast Ambulance.
Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses to the collision which happened at about 2.15pm on Bank Holiday Monday (August 27).
Anyone who saw the collision or the events surrounding it is urged to call Surrey Police on 101, quoting reference P12251195.
