A children’s author from Surrey has teamed up with a world famous record producer to release an anti bullying pop song this week to support Anti Bullying Week 2014.

Lynda Berger previously known for her novel Demons and Thieves says after witnessing the affects bullying had on her daughter Catherine and her school friends she was encouraged to write Take a Look at yourself.’

Lynda, said, “The bullying became so bad for one of my daughter’s friends that she suffered a broken nose and ribs in a vicious attack.’’

Rob Cass, a famous music producer who has worked with the likes of Robbie Williams, Estelle and Will Young, has given up his free time to help Lynda produce the song.

Lynda herself was a victim of bullying while growing up and she hopes the song will reach young people across the UK.

Mr Cass said, “I loved Lynda’s song and as soon as I heard it I could see its potential for helping to inspire young teenagers to overcome everyday battles they are facing.’’

The song hit free digital download to mark Anti Bullying Week which is taking place this week within schools all around the country.

It features vocals from rising star Emily Burns and is aimed to help young people find the ‘inner strength’ to rise above the bullies.

Lynda’s book has been incorporated into reading programmes of schools including The Royal Alexander & Albert School in Reigate.
