More than 1300 fixed penalty offences have been given out in the Redhill, Reigate and Horley post code areas, new figures show.

Road safety charity Brake released figures today, as it launched its Road Safety Week.

Across our region a total of 1,304 fixed penalty offences were issued for speeding and 34 were issued for careless driving just in three postcode areas.

Julie Townsend, deputy chief executive, Brake, said: “When drivers use roads without care for others the consequences can be tragic and horrific – people killed and badly injured, lives ruined forever, because of a moment of impatience or selfishness."

By postcode, Brake has released the number of fixed penalty offences by postcode area, last year; see below the stats for the RH area. The figures relate to the home address of the offender, not the location where the offence occurred.
