The popular Festival of Surrey Life will return to The Fox Revived pub in Norwood Hill near Horley this weekend.

A celebration of all that is great about the county, including its food and drink producers, performers and a wide range of activities, the Festival will run this Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday (May 25 and 26).

The festival is the brainchild of The Fox Revived publicans Jon and Paula Briscoe, who say this year's event will be bigger and better than ever. The event is free of charge for families to attend.

This year's mix of displays and fun will include singing, dancing, fencing and axe throwing.

Jon said: “It’s one big party where everyone can participate and join in for the entertainment of others.”

He said: “Each year we manage to bring together an eclectic group of producers, performers and activities.

“There really is something for everyone across the weekend.”

Last year's activities included street dancing, birds of prey, steam engines, paintballing, quad bikes and music.

Jon said: “2014 will be bigger, better and a great celebration. It’s a simple concept, but as is often the case, it’s the simple things that work the best, and this is some old-fashioned fun for the family to enjoy.”

The festival will run from noon until 5.30pm on both days.
