Staff at a Redhill care home raised more than £2,000 for a breast cancer cause through a charity night meal and balloon release.

The staff members of Acorn Court Care Home decided to raise money for breast cancer support, The Haven, with a special charity night meal at The Limes Bistro in Charlwood.

A balloon release took place on the night in memory of all the loved lost residents at Acorn Court, and charity diners were able to sponsor their own balloons in memory of their lost loved ones. A spokeswoman for Acorn Court said: “It was such a beautiful moment, seeing everyone holding hands whilst watching their balloons fly away. “So far, Acorn Court has raised an incredible £2,260, and the staff would like to thank all the attendees for making the evening so special, and to everyone who supported the fantastic cause.”
