Police are appealing for two teenage girls who witnessed a burglary in Redhill to contact them.

The burglary happened in Gatton Park Road on Wednesday (April 2) between 5.10pm and 5.30pm.

A Surrey Police spokesman said entry was gained into the property and a silver BMW was seen acting suspiciously at the scene before making off at speed.

Investigating officers believe two young females could hold vital clues to the incident.

The girls were sitting on a wall of a property in the road at the time the burglary occurred.

It is thought they may be students at Redhill's East Surrey College.

One of the girls was described as being around 18 years old, 5ft 6 inches tall, slim and with long blonde curly hair. She was wearing blue leggings at the time.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Errol Chetty, said: "We would urge anyone who has information about this incident to come forward, particularly the two females who were sat nearby.

"They are not suspects but could hold vital clues to the investigation.”
