Redhill Post Office, based in WH Smith, Redhill, is now opening for four hours every Sunday.

The branch in the store in The Belfry in Station Road is opening from 10.30am through to 2.30pm on Sundays, as part of plans to make Post Office services more easily accessible for customers.

The Post Office said the move means the counters are now there serving the community seven days a week.

John Dutton, head of Post Office’s WH Smith branches, said: “We want to make it as easy as possible for customers to access our services.” He said: “More and more of our branches are opening for longer and we’re delighted that customers can now visit our Redhill branch seven days a week.” The Post Office is currently undertaking a multi-million pound investment programme across its branch network. More than 1,800 branches have already been modernised, offering around 50,000 extra hours of service every week, including Saturday and Sunday opening times.
