A Police Constable based in Reigate has been charged with making off without payment following an incident in Godstone.
PC Gina Patten, 50, was charged following the incident in Godstone High Street on Friday, January 10.
A Surrey Police spokesman said she has been suspended from duty while the case goes through the court process, and has been bailed to appear at Aldershot Magistrates Court on Thursday, March 6.
