Members of the Dunottar Girls’ Choir gave a fittingly moving performance when they sang as part of the Holocaust Memorial Service at Reigate Town Hall.

The girls performed at the annual event at the request of the Mayor of Reigate and Banstead, Councillor Doctor Lynne Hack, and Deputy Mayor, Councillor Steven Farrer.

The pupils from Years 6 through to 12 sang a rendition of The Lord Bless You and Keep You by John Rutter. The memorial service, hosted by the Mayor, was held to commemorate the Jews who died in the Holocaust, and other victims of more recent genocides.

David Black, director of Music at Dunottar Reigate School, said: “It’s always a very touching service and the girls sang beautifully, with good diction and a nice choral tone.”
