Copthorne Bank in Copthorne was closed on Saturday (January 25) after high winds left an electricity pole leaning precariously.
Crawley firefighters went to the scene at 5.15pm and found the pole leaning with its electricity cable down in the road.
After closing the road, the firefighters left the incident in the hands of UK Power Network engineers.
