Reigate Grammar School (RGS) is celebrating two of its former students being recognised in the New Year Honours.
Keir Starmer QC was awarded the Knight Commander of the Order of the Bath (KCB) for services to Law and Criminal Justice in The Queen’s New Year Honours List. Mr Starmer, who was until recently the director of the Crown Prosecution Service, attended RGS from 1974 to 1981.
And Anil Patel, who was head boy at RGS and left in 2003, has been recognised with an MBE for services to British diplomacy. Anil is Second Secretary with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
