A man was taken to hospital for treatment after a traffic collision in Earlswood.

Surrey Police said the man, aged in his 30s, was driving a grey Toyota Lexus when it was reported to have been in collision with a parked van.

The collision happened on the A23 Horley Road, close to its junction with Maple Road, at around 10.08am last Saturday (December 28).

A Surrey Police spokesman said emergency services went to the scene and the Lexus driver was taken to East Surrey Hospital in Redhill, where he was later described as being in a serious but stable condition.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or saw the Lexus driving prior to it, to come forward.
