A special Boxing Day bus service is to run this Christmas, funded by Reigate and Banstead Borough Council.

The 430 and 435 bus service will be making regular trips between Merstham, Woodhatch, Reigate and Redhill, stopping at East Surrey Hospital. Printed copies of the timetable are available from Redhill Bus Station.

Mike Miller, borough council executive member for planning and development, said: “For those who may have relatives in hospital this Christmas, we know how important it is that they are able to visit them. “To make this easier, we are funding a bus service to run between Merstham and Redhill that stops at East Surrey Hospital."

Metrobus will run the service, which will be stopping in Reigate, South Park, Woodhatch, Whitebushes, at East Surrey Hospital, Earlswood, Redhill and Merstham.

The first bus will leave from Portland Drive, Merstham, at 9.11am, and the last bus bound for Merstham will leave the hospital at 4.07pm.

Metrobus will also be operating Route 100 between Redhill and Crawley on a special service, Route 400 between Caterham and East Grinstead, and Route 405 between Redhill and Croydon will operate a Sunday service.

Normal fares will be charged and bus passes accepted on all routes. For full details of routes and timetables call Metrobus on 01293 449191 or visit their website at: www.metrobus.co.uk
