Free Osteo-Arthritis health talks to be launched in Horley
10:44am Wednesday 3rd October 2012 in News
Free educational talks on Osteo-Arthritis are to be held in Horley to help people living with the condition.
BritChiro in Horley is to introduce the talks in the Horley Clinic at 68 Victoria Road, Horley (near Waitrose), to give people an understanding of the causes of Osteo-Arthritis, the various treatment options and what positive life-style changes can be made.
It is estimated by BUPA that eight out of ten people over 50 have Osteo-Arthritis and many think nothing can be done about it.
The free talks, which will be open to the general public, will cover topics including anatomy and physiology of bones and cartilage, joint function, surgery, different treatment options available on the NHS and privately, and the impact of exercise.
The first talk will take place next Monday (October 8) from 1pm to 3pm, followed by another talk on Tuesday, October 16, with places limited.
