An arsonist caused more than £5,000 damage to three garages and two vehicles in an attack in Reigate.
Surrey Police is appealing for information after the fire was started at garages behind Pendleton Road in the early hours of last Wednesday (February 8).
Investigating Officer Detective Constable Lewis Flanagan of Reigate CID, said: “This was a deliberate and dangerous attack on the property and the consequences of the fire could have been a lot worse.”
Det Con Flanagan said: “I would appeal to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area around the time of the incident to contact officers with information so we can bring those responsible to justice.”
Police said it is estimated that more than £5,000 worth of damage was caused, including to a Toyota Celica and a Range Rover which were parked in the garages at the time of the incident.
The arson took place between 4.45am and 5.05am.
