Hiroshima Day to be marked in Reigate

Redhill and Reigate Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) will hold a ceremony to mark Hiroshima Day at the Old Town Hall in Reigate on Friday, August 6, at noon.
Aiko Brown of Redhill and Reigate CND said: “As I am the only Japanese member for Redhill and Reigate CND, I want the ceremony to be successful and appreciated by the local community.
“There was a big change in UK Government recently but still they keep the extremely expensive nuclear weapon Trident, which puts extra strain on our economy.
“On the day the nuclear bomb hit Japan - the one and only country to get nuked - we want to make the point to people that we have to pass the world to our children without nukes.”
