Guests at a special charity evening held at Mela Indian Restaurant in Redhill helped to raise £2,400 in aid of The Children’s Trust.
Eighty people joined Reigate and Banstead mayor Richard Mantle for the fundraising dinner in aid of the cause, which provides specialist care for some of the UK’s most severely disabled children, including children with an acquired brain injury.
Angie Turner, corporate fundraising manager at The Children’s Trust, said: “It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening and I would like to thank the staff and directors of the Mela Group for putting on this wonderful annual event.”
She said: “I would also like to thank everyone who attended the evening to help make it such a success. “The restaurant’s continued support over the last year has raised over £5,000 for The Children’s Trust – a fantastic result.”
