A 30-year-old man was stabbed in the chest, abdomen and thigh in a vicious knife attack in Reigate.
The man was attacked at about half-past midnight this morning at a property in New Causeway.
He was left needing hospital treatment .
Det Con Rachel Pearson of Reigate CID said: “This was a particularly vicious assault which left the victim requiring hospital treatment and which could leave him scarred for life.”
She said: “Five men were seen arguing outside the property after the incident, before three of them got into a taxi and drove away.
“Officers quickly traced the taxi and the three men were arrested.
“A fourth man was arrested later.”
But she added : “I am appealing to anyone who has any information concerning this assault to come forward.
“Surrey Police will not tolerate violence of this kind and with your help we can bring those responsible to justice.”
A police spokesman said three men from Redhill, aged 23, 29 and 32, and a 17-year-old from Horley, have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
